Working with files in Robaws

In Robaws you can add and manage files in the different modules. File management covers two areas:

File management on a document/module

You find the file management for a document via the 'files' tab on that document. It gives you the following options:

  1. Choosing between list view and grid view.
  2. Sorting within the files.
  3. Searching for something specific in the full file list.
  4. Action buttons to print, download or open in a new tab.
  5. Navigating with the arrows to the next or previous file.
  6. Selecting several files and dragging them to another folder.
  7. Uploading a file or folder via the file manager on your computer or via the 'add' button.

Via the file management of a document you can also call up related files from other modules.

File management on emails

When you compose an email, the files that have been added to the email template are included by default. If you want to send extra files as well, you do this via the '+ add' button on the email. You then get a pop-up window in which you can add files from the different modules.

Two things are important here:

  1. In the left-hand column you see a list of the modules that are linked to the document. If you click a module name, you get - where applicable - a further subdivision. 'General files' has also been added here as a separate section.
  2. At the top you find several tabs: 'Files', 'PDF templates', 'Default documents' and 'System files'.

When you create the email template, make sure that you add all the documents you want to send by default. Those are then added automatically as an attachment when you compose each email. If you do not want to send such a default attachment after all, you remove it via the bin icon.
