Editing fields in bulk
Yes. With bulk edit you change the same field in one go for several items. You start the action in the overview screen of a module: right-click a line and choose bulk edit. This works for standard fields as well as for extra fields, and you can also clear a value.
You have two options: you change a property for a number of selected items, or for all items in the overview.
If you do not want to change a field value but to run a module action, such as booking invoices or sending them via Peppol, use bulk actions instead.

Changing a property for a number of items
Use this when you only want to change a few lines.
- Select the lines you want to change, using the checkboxes at the start of each line.
- Right-click and choose bulk edit.
- Select the property you want to change, for example the status.
- Select the new value. Leave the field empty if you want to clear the value.
- Choose selected items. That is also the default choice.
- Click execute for ... items and confirm.
Changing a property for all items in the overview
This changes every line in the overview. Those are either all items of the module, or the items that are left after your filters and search term. So filter first, to keep exactly the items you want to change.
- Right-click any line in the overview and choose bulk edit.
- Select the property you want to change.
- Select the new value.
- Choose all items in view.
- Click execute for ... items and confirm.
Result and error messages
You see a progress bar while the edit is running. If it succeeds, a message appears in the top right stating that the bulk edit has been completed, together with the number of items changed. If something goes wrong, you get an error message, for example that you do not have the right permissions for this action.
