Uploading a bill of quantities into a quotation
A bill of quantities is an Excel document that you receive from, for example, a contractor. You can use this bill of quantities to load straight into a quotation.
When you add a bill of quantities to a quotation, every row in the Excel also becomes a row on the quotation.
Use
In a quotation you can upload an Excel via the 'upload' button.
When you click 'upload', a dialog opens. In this dialog you can assign the columns we support to a column of the Excel.
The columns that are supported in Robaws:
- Description
- Line nr.
- Post nr.
- Quantity
- Type
- Unit
- Unit price (Please note: here you only use the value of the amount, without the € sign)
- Extended description
- Allocation key
The 'description' column is mandatory. If you have not assigned this column, the result will be an empty quotation.
We also recommend filling in 'quantity' and 'unit price'.
If a row in the Excel file does not have a value for all the selected columns, that row will be treated on the quotation as a 'text' line and will not count towards the price calculation.
