Time check
Time check refers to keeping track of and checking hours worked, often with the aim of registering and managing working time, presences and absences and productivity. This is widely used in working environments to make sure that employees follow the set working hours and that the working hours are recorded accurately for payroll administration, planning or project management.
In the 'work orders' module you can, alongside displays such as overview and analysis, also consult a third display: calendar.
Under this display you can check the working hours achieved by employees.
You do this using 2 different displays:
- Detail view (the old calendar display of the work orders): gives a general overview of all employees and their working hours achieved, based on the registrations in one or more work orders.
- No detail view (the new time check display): gives a general overview of all employees and their working hours achieved, based on the registrations in one or more work orders. Those working hours are then checked off against the hour types and weekly schedules assigned to the employees.
To make the most of this functionality, we recommend reading through the articles below.
These functions are also part of the time check:
- Time check | Weekly schedule
- Time check | Hour types
- Time check | Deduction or allowance
- How does the Scab integration work? - (Optional)
Use
To be able to consult the time check, you switch off the detail view. An overview of presences and absences is then displayed.
These details are taken from work orders in which the employee has registered one or more presence and absence hours.
If you click a number of hours on a specific day, an overview of the registered presence and absence hours is displayed at the bottom of the screen. You get the option to change the details and to add extra lines.
If the registrations match the hours actually achieved by that employee on that specific day, you can approve the achievements.

Various colours or shadings can be shown in the overview:
Colour or shading | Description |
|---|---|
Shaded | An absence is indicated. |
Not shaded | A presence is indicated. |
Green | The number of working hours to be achieved was reached. Only presences or absences that have an hour type assigned and that are included in the weekly schedule are used for the calculation. |
Dark green | The achievement was fully approved and can be sent to Scab. This does not mean, however, that the number of hours achieved is correct. The days on which no work has to be done are also included in this. |
Orange | More hours were achieved than predicted according to the weekly schedule. |
Red | The number of working hours to be achieved was not reached for that day. |
Manual registration
You can also register the working hours of several employees across several days manually. Those hours are then copied into the working schedule of the employee. To do this, click the '+' button in the overview of the time check. A pop-up window is then displayed, in which you get the option to register presence or absence hours manually.

Settings
Via 'Settings > Work orders > Settings > Time check view' various displays can be configured.
