Assigning a role to your employees

An employee role is a role that the employee is given within your organisation. Assigning a role to an employee provides a clear demarcation of that employee's tasks and responsibilities.

You can link time operations to an employee role that apply to this employee.
When working hours are registered for this employee, it will therefore only be possible to use the time operations that are linked to this employee role.

Creating an employee role

You create an employee role via settings > employees > master data > employee roles.
You then link this employee role to an employee on the employee file.

Setting

Explanation

Name

Name of the employee role. This is used in the drop-down menu on the employee file.

Time operations

All time operations that apply to this employee. These time operations are used in the work order and in Wappy.

Use

On the employee file you can link 1 employee role. This role and the accompanying time operations apply to the employee.

In practice this achieves 2 things:

  1. On the work order in Robaws, once you have selected this employee, you can only choose between the time operations linked to the employee role of the employee.
  2. When registering their hours in Wappy, the employee can only choose the time operations of their employee role.
