How do I rent equipment from a supplier with a rental order?
Are you renting a crane, a container or site fencing from a supplier? Then you create a rental order. That way you record what you rent, for which project, and when the rental starts and stops. In the rental planning you see per week all the equipment you rent.
Creating a rental order
You create a rental order from a template of the Rental type, via Add (+) in the overview of your supply orders or from a project via the plus sign next to 'Supply orders' in the Overview block. Don't have a rental template yet? Then create one in the settings.
Field | Explanation |
|---|---|
Supplier, Contact | From whom you rent. |
Start rental, Stop rental | When the rental starts and ends. |
Loading address, Load at, Loading contact | Where and when loading takes place, and the contact person there. |
Unloading address, Unload at, Unloading contact | Where and when unloading takes place, and the contact person there. |
Reference | Your own reference. |
On the lines you fill in the rented item, the project, the quantity and the price.
No rental
Is the equipment not rented for a while, for example during the construction holiday? Add that period in the No rental tab, with from, to and a Reason. It also appears in the rental planning. To notify your supplier about it, create an email template for 'No rental period' in the settings.
The rental planning
In the overview of your supply orders, click the Rental action button. You see every rental line per week, with an ascending aeroplane where the rental starts and a landing aeroplane where it ends. A green day is rented, a blue day is the last rental day, an orange day falls in a period without rental and a red day is not rented. With the search field you filter on supply order, supplier, project or rental item.
You do not see the Rental action button on a small screen.
In the recalculation
A rental order does not count in the recalculation of your project. The incoming invoice of your supplier does.
