Quotation revisions

If you often have to make several quotations for the same job, it can be handy to create revisions of it. That way you get a clear link between the different quotation variations.

Creating a revision

When you open a quotation, you find the create revision action button at the top of the quotation (a clock with an arrow). With that action button you create a revision of the quotation.
The revision takes over the data of the previous quotation and you can make changes that only apply to this revision.
When creating it, you will see that the revision has the same quotation number as the original quotation, with the difference that a hyphen followed by the number of the revision is added.

Consulting revisions

All revisions can be consulted separately in the overview of the quotations. You can find them in that way.
A second way to consult the revisions is via that same action button with which you create a new revision. There you not only get the option to create a new revision, you also get an overview of the revisions already made and you can easily click through to the previous revisions.

Taking over fields and lines

All standard fields, extra fields and lines are taken over to the next revision. This way you do not have to fill in all the values again.
The changes that are made on a revision only apply to the current revision and any following revisions.
These fields are not overwritten retroactively on previous revisions.

Remarks, files and tasks

Remarks, files and tasks apply to all revisions that belong together. That is why we have made sure that when you add a remark, file or task on 1 of the quotations, it is automatically shown on the other quotations as well.
This way you do not have to add them again everywhere.
