Importing items from a webshop
In Robaws you can set up an integration between Robaws and various webshops. You will find these under settings > integrations > webshops.
The added value of a webshop integration:
- items are retrieved directly from the webshop, whereby a great deal of data (the gross price and net price, item details and image, sometimes a technical data sheet, extended description, etc.) is copied straight from the webshop.
- prices are updated automatically in Robaws as soon as they are updated in the webshop
Activating the webshop integration
Follow the step-by-step plan described in the article for that webshop.
For most webshops it is also possible to set up a separate login per user.
Once you have activated the integration, you can import items in 2 different ways:
Importing webshop items into your item library
Your item library can be built up on the basis of the items in your supplier's webshop.
From the item overview screen, click the Webshops action button at the top. An overview of all linked webshops that are active opens.
- Click the webshop you want. A new tab opens. The first time you use the integration you sometimes still have to log in. Leave both tabs open.
- Fill your shopping cart in the webshop with the items you want
- Go back to the Robaws tab and click "Import items from shopping cart to Robaws"
- The following pop-up screen appears:

Function | Description |
|---|---|
Import once: | If you activate this setting, imported items are created but are not shown as active. They are deleted immediately. The items are always copied to the clipboard, however, so they can be added to a document with the 'paste function'. Use this if you want to import items once for a quotation, but do not want to save them for further use in Robaws. |
Strategy | A particular strategy can be set for a cost price and a selling price. This way the supplier's gross price can be copied, but you can also always calculate a margin on the cost price. |
Margin % | A margin can be calculated on the gross selling price or on the cost price. |
Item group | The item can be added to an item group. |
Internal photo | The imported photo can be set as an internal photo, or as a photo that will be shown on documents such as a quotation. |
Copy extended description | Extra information about the item (if available in the webshop) is copied. This extra information is shown on sales documents by default. |
- The items are added to your item library straight away. You can use the items in the various modules.
Importing webshop items into your quotation
Your quotation can be built up on the basis of the items in your supplier's webshop.
From the item overview screen, click the Webshops action button at the top. An overview of all linked webshops that are active opens.
If you want to start from your quotation, you can use the F2 key and then choose the 'Webshops' action button.

- If you chose 'Import once', the items were copied to the clipboard. Next, go to a quotation and paste these items into your quotation with the right mouse button.
