Construction partners

A construction partner is a person or company you work with to bring a project to a successful conclusion: an architect, a safety coordinator, an EPB or EPC reporter, an asbestos expert, and so on. You link them to a project, together with the right contact.

Activating construction partners

Switch the function on via settings > projects > settings:

Setting	Explanation
Construction partners	Switch this on to show the construction partners table in the project file.
Type construction partner	The list of types you can choose from. You use this list both in the supplier file and in the project file.

Then click activate settings at the bottom right.

By default, the types architect, safety coordination and EPB are ready for use. You can adjust that list entirely to your own preference — in the example below it has already been extended.

Creating a construction partner

A construction partner first exists as a supplier. You therefore cannot create one from the project file itself.

Create the party as a supplier.
In the supplier file, use the type field to indicate which type of construction partner it is.

Do you not see that type field on the supplier file? Then the construction partners function has not yet been activated in the project settings.

Linking a construction partner to a project

Open the project file and go to the construction partners section. For each line you set:

the construction partner itself;
the contact at that construction partner;
receive progress claims? — tick this if this construction partner has to receive the progress claim.

You can link several construction partners to the same project.
