What the text editor can do

With the text editor you draw up formatted text without having to know any HTML. You find it everywhere you enter free text: the introduction or closing text of a quotation, an e-mail template, a default document or a pdf template.

The toolbar differs slightly depending on where you use it. A page break, for example, is only available in standard texts and documents, and subscript and superscript are only available in the e-mail editor.

These are the buttons on the toolbar. Some buttons open an extra set of buttons: you find those in the tables below.

Button	What it does
	Text is shown in bold.
	Text is shown in italic.
	Text is shown underlined.
	Opens extra buttons for text formatting.
	Text is aligned left.
	Text is centred.
	Text is aligned right.
	Opens extra buttons for paragraph formatting.
	Add a hyperlink.
	Add an image.
	Add a table. Via the table style you choose 'Gridlines' or 'No Gridlines' to show or hide the lines.
	Opens extra buttons for symbols and lines.
	Undo an action.
	Redo an action.
	Show the text editor full screen.
	Opens extra buttons for support.

Text formatting

Button	What it does
	Font size of the text.
	Textcolor. A pop-up window appears in which you choose the colour of the selected text.
	Background colour. A pop-up window appears in which you choose the background colour of the selected text.
	Strikethrough. A horizontal line is placed through the selected text.
	Subscript. Only available in the e-mail editor.
	Superscript. Only available in the e-mail editor.
	Remove formatting from the selected text.

Paragraph formatting

Button	What it does
	Justify. The text is shown across the full width of the document.
	Ordered list. The items are shown numbered.
	Unordered list. The items are shown with bullet points.

Symbols

Button	What it does
	Special characters. A pop-up window appears in which you choose a special character.
	Add a horizontal line below the text.
	Add a page break at the position of your cursor, both before and after existing text. Only available in standard texts and default documents.

Support

Button	What it does
	Select all. The full text is selected.
	Code display. The text is shown as HTML code.
	Help. A pop-up window appears with an overview of all the keyboard shortcuts.
