A dashboard brings together the reports, charts, tables and so on based on your data in one central place. You can display this in a Google Sheet in a limited way (comparable to an Excel file), or in a more extensive way through a BI tool. Make your choice based on your budget, the complexity, the volume of data, and the number and type of visualisations you have in mind.

BI stands for "Business Intelligence". These are dashboards that turn your company data into clear visualisations: diagrams, charts, tables and so on. Not only do they let you interpret your data clearly, they also let you derive trends and developments from it. These dashboards are automatically up to date because they are linked to Robaws (or to other tools, such as your accounting package).
Popular BI tools include Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, Tableau and Google Looker Studio.

You can choose to build your reports yourself, or you can ask an experienced Robaws partner to set them up for you.

Support from Robaws is limited to this documentation. Our support team cannot and will not provide additional help with this. We therefore only recommend tackling this yourself if your company has sufficient in-house technical knowledge.

Google Sheet integration

If you are familiar with pivot tables, macros and formulas in Excel, you can build a dashboard yourself using the Google Sheet export.
If you wish, you can then link it to Looker Studio (Google) for a more attractive visual display.

Using the Google Sheet integration costs € 70/month and requires a Google account.

Go to Robaws > settings > integrations > Google Sheet
Under 'Status', click 'Connect' and link your Google account
Next to 'Data Export configuration', click the + sign to add data
Choose the module whose data you want to export (for example Customer, Incoming invoice line, and so on)
Click 'Add attribute' to select the field you want to export (for example Name, Payment condition, Cost price, and so on)
Add all the attributes and modules you need in order to work with them in Excel later on
Click 'Export now' at the top to export the data to your Google Sheet manually. This happens automatically overnight, but if you want to refresh after a change, you can renew the data manually with this button
Click Open Google Sheet. You can now save this sheet somewhere, so that you can consult it at any time with the data that is refreshed automatically overnight.
A tab is created for every module you export. A column is created for every attribute. You can now add extra tabs yourself and visualise your data in them.

The data is refreshed automatically overnight. You can of course always refresh it manually in real time by clicking the 'Export now' button.

Power BI integration

To build a Power BI integration, you need thorough expertise. You can export the data from Robaws through various data connectors:

Robaws API
Robaws Google Sheet exporter
An external platform such as https://peliqan.io/connector/Robaws/

From there you build further until you obtain the visualisations in a Power BI tool of your choice.
You can then enter the URL of that tool in Robaws so that your Robaws dashboard is replaced by this visualisation: Robaws > settings > general > settings > Custom Dashboard URL
