Creating different layout styles
By using layout styles you can give your quotation a clear layout. This makes sure the quotation is clear and clearly structured for the customer or supplier.
There are 3 ways to apply the layout styles in Robaws:
- When you draw up your quotation, order, change order and so on, you choose line by line which level you want to assign to that line.
- In the item file you can assign a level to items in advance that always applies to that specific item.
- You link a layout style to a specific line type
Creating layout styles
You can create the layout styles via settings > general > PDF > styling. You can create 8 different layout styles.

To actually use the styling, you have to make sure the 'Styling' function is activated on the pdf template. This setting applies to each template separately.
Use
Assigning line by line
You can assign a layout style to a specific line directly in a document, such as a quotation.
You do this by opening the line via the arrow on the left of the line and then assigning a layout style in the 'Level' field on the 'Styling' tab.

Adding it in the item file
You can choose to link a layout style to a specific item. You do this in the item file in the 'Level' field.
In that case Robaws links this layout style to the line automatically when you add this item to a document. As a result you no longer have to do this manually on the line.
Linking it to a line type
Within Robaws we work with standard line types. You can link a layout style to these line types in advance via the settings. That way the layout style is applied automatically once you choose a particular line type in the quotation.
