Creating a contract or extra default document
A default document is a pdf document that you draw up directly in Robaws. The document contains information that you can place on the pdf from the fields in Robaws.
Benefits:
- By using replacement codes the default document is filled in automatically
- When you export the default document, the background is used, so that it matches the rest of your document
- You can add the default document to the e-mail template
Example:
A project sheet containing all the information relating to a project can be drawn up as a default document.
Layout
You draw up a default document via settings > module of your choice > default document. Click add to start a new document and go through the following steps:
- Name: give the document a name. You use this name later to find the document and open it from, for example, a project.
- Content: draw up the text of the document in the editor. Work with replacement codes here, so that data from Robaws (for example customer, project, extra fields, and so on) is filled in automatically.
- When you export, the background of your company is used, so that the document looks neat and consistent.

Use
Once one or more default documents have been created in the settings of a module, you can always open them from, for example, a project.
On that specific document you can then also edit or reset the document. That way you create a document that applies specifically to the quotation or project you are working in at that moment.
To do this, from a project for example, you click the 'Default documents' action button at the top > Edit > choose the template you want to edit.
Example:
You create a project sheet as a default document in the settings. This is a standard template that applies to every project. For one specific project you want to add extra data that is not included in the template. You can do this by opening this default document in the project and then editing it.
Setting
Via settings > module of your choice > default document you can draw up a default document.
Via settings > module of your choice > e-mail template you can add a default document as an attachment.
