# Wappy | Creating a work order

With [Wappy](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-bmkzk0/) you draw up work orders digitally and fill them in on site. A work order ends up in Wappy in three ways:

1. [from the dayplanning in Robaws](#2-from-the-dayplanning-in-robaws) — the planning items of the employee come along automatically
2. [the user creates one themselves](#2-creating-a-work-order-yourself-in-wappy) — a blank work order, separate from the dayplanning
3. [from the waiting room](#2-from-the-waiting-room) — for assignments without a fixed date

What a user is allowed to do depends on their [Wappy plan](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-licences-c9uch7/). On the work order they then register their [hours worked](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-registering-hours-worked-d4yscm/), the [material used](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-registering-the-material-used-22ph6z/) and the [material hours](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-registering-material-hours-waaz7v/).

## From the dayplanning in Robaws

Wappy is connected to the dayplanning in Robaws. The planning items you create for a particular employee end up in Wappy automatically. That way every employee gets the list of all their scheduled assignments, under the **'my work orders'** section. From that list they choose a work order, fill it in and send it back to Robaws.

These work orders are available in **all Wappy plans**.

| Via **settings > work orders > wappy** you determine how many days into the future and into the past the assignments are visible. By default that is 10 days ahead and 5 days back.

## Creating a work order yourself in Wappy

In Wappy you can also create a blank work order yourself, separate from the dayplanning. You do this in the **'my work orders'** work order overview: click the **+ sign** at the bottom right there. Such a work order does not become a planning item, so it does not appear in the dayplanning in Robaws.

When creating it, you fill in these fields:

* **Work order title:** the title the work order gets in Robaws.
* **Project:** the project for which you create the work order.
* **Order:** the order for which you create the work order.
* **Customer:** the customer for whom you create the work order.
* **Installation:** the [installation](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/installations-1o8lgdd/) that you link to the work order.
* **Time:** the date and the time you plan for the work order.
* **Time & Materials:** tick this if the work is being done on a Time & Materials basis.

Adding a work order yourself is part of the **Standard** and **Teams** plans. A work order you created yourself can also be [deleted](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-deleting-a-work-order-1heka7y/) again in Wappy.

|| Does the user not see a project or customer field? Then switch on **Can look up projects** and **Can look up customers** via **settings > work orders > wappy**. Via those same [settings](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-settings-1ujjkcj/) you also limit which statuses of customers, projects, orders and installations may be selected in Wappy.

## From the waiting room

Assignments whose start and end date are not yet fixed are kept in the [waiting room](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/waiting-room-i31q1p/) in Robaws. If you switch on **Show waiting room** via **settings > work orders > wappy**, the user sees that waiting room in Wappy too and can create a work order from it themselves.

The waiting room in Wappy is part of the **Standard** and **Teams** plans.
