# Time and date display

Robaws always shows dates in the **DD/MM/YYYY format** and times in the **24-hour format**. That is the case for all four supported languages: Dutch, French, German and English. So there is no separate setting for the date format in Robaws, and no American notation with MM/DD or AM/PM either.

## What does follow the language

The **language of your profile** determines how Robaws formats the rest of the display:

* the names of months and weekdays (januari / janvier / Januar / January);
* the number format, so the decimal separator and the thousands separator (1.234,56 in Dutch and German, 1 234,56 in French, 1,234.56 in English);
* the display of amounts.

## How to change the language

1. Click **your name** at the top right and go to your profile.
2. Change the **Language** field to the language you want.
3. The message **'Activate language … now?'** appears. Click **Activate**.

Robaws reloads, and from then on the date, time and number formats follow the language you set here.
