# Stock change

A stock change can happen in two ways: via an automatic or a manual booking.


# Manual stock change

### Stock count

The function **"stock count"** is shown in a stock change. If you activate this function, the stock of the items included in the stock change is, as it were, reset to the quantity you entered. So no incoming or outgoing stock movement is registered; instead the stock is overwritten on the basis of the count.

|| This only applies to the stock location that was assigned in the stock change. If the stock of this item is kept at several stock locations, you have to register a separate stock count for every stock location.

# Automatic stock change

In the settings you can set up automatic stock changes.

The examples above always set a stock change when you go from A to B.
The third option, for example, activates the creation of a stock change when a work order is invoiced.

||| Make sure the automation you choose does not cause a double stock change. So think this through carefully.

||| When you work with automatic stock changes, these are booked automatically.

# Booking a stock change

After you have drawn up a stock change, you can book it.

| An automatic stock change is booked straight away.

Once the stock change has been booked, no more changes can be made.

After booking, the stock of your items is changed (items > in stock)


# Linking the stock change to supply orders

You can link a supply order to the stock change

What happens is that the overview of the supply order module shows what percentage of the supply order has come in

In the example above, 96% of the supply order has come in via a booked stock change.

# Overview of items to be reordered

Because you work with stock changes, it is important that you also keep sight of your item stock and of which items urgently have to be reordered.

First of all, make sure a sound reorder rule is set per item.

* In stock: this number changes after a booked stock change
* Minimum stock: when the 'in stock' figure drops below this figure, this item goes into the alert phase.

Once all items have been set up properly and you want to get an overview of all items to be ordered, you go to the item overview.
Enter 'reorder' in the search function:

You now get a list of all items that urgently have to be ordered.

For each item you also get a chart in an overview with the stock history of the item:
