# Seeing the live location of your employees and projects

Yes. With the [Track & Trace](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/track-and-trace-kpqaa5/) function you see in real time where your [employees](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/employees-general-4h4p3y/) and your projects are located.

||| This is a chargeable function, charged at € 5/user per month. You can enable this function on the user file.

Before you can use the map, Track & Trace has to be [activated correctly](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/track-and-trace-kpqaa5/). This is what you need:

* **Track & Trace switched on per user**, on the user file in the Wappy window
* **the function switched on in the settings**, via **settings > work orders > wappy > track & trace**
* **a [weekly schedule](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/setting-a-weekly-schedule-for-your-employees-7di2dv/)** on the employee behind that user
* **permission for location** on the device, so that Wappy is allowed to request the location
* **project statuses selected** under **settings > projects > statuses**, in the field 'Projects with these statuses are active for track and trace'
* **a site address with coordinates** on the project, and the project must not be archived

## Opening the map

In the overview of the [dayplanning](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/dayplanning-general-1ohthp5/) you click the action button **Employee locations**. You then get a map with the current locations of your employees and your projects. There is no need to refresh the map: it updates itself automatically every 10 seconds.

## Different colours

The **markers of your employees** carry the initials of the employee and are coloured according to their speed:

| Marker colour | Meaning |
| ---- |
| Blue | The employee is not driving, or is driving slower than 30 km/h. |
| Orange | The employee is driving faster than 30 km/h. |

If you click an employee marker, you see their activity and their speed. If they are stationary, the speed is left out. Via the name in that window you jump to their **Route of today**, with the distance covered and the stops.

The **markers of your projects** are coloured according to the presence:

| Marker colour | Meaning |
| ---- |
| Grey | Nobody is present on this project at this moment. |
| Green | Employees are present on this project. Their individual markers then disappear and are absorbed into the project marker. |

If you click a project marker, you see the project number, the planning name and the address of the project. If employees are present, a list with their names follows, and per name the presence blocks of that day as 'from - to'. If someone is still present, a question mark appears instead of an end time.

## What appears on the map?

| Component | Condition |
| ---- |
| Employees | Only locations from the last 24 hours, of users with Track & Trace activated. |
| Projects | The project has coordinates on its site address and a status that you selected under **settings > projects > statuses**, in the field 'Projects with these statuses are active for track and trace'. |

||| Always select at least one status in that field. If you leave it empty, **no** project at all appears on the map.
