# Project planning | Settings

Via **Settings > Project planning** you determine with which phases you plan, which projects and quotations appear in the project planning and in which order. This page is only visible for administrators. Your changes are saved as soon as you leave the page. How to work with the project planning is explained in [Project planning | General](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/project-planning-wfhgep/).

## Master data

| Setting | Explanation |
| ---- |
| Leave periods | Create [leave periods and public holidays](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/entering-leave-periods-and-public-holidays-in-the-dayplanning-18enur3/), with a name, a colour and a period. They colour the background of those days in the project planning and the dayplanning. In the Gantt chart of a project they count as non-working days. |

## Phases

Create the phases you plan with here, for example 'demolition', 'shell works' and 'finishing'. With **Add** you create a new one. Give every phase a **Name** and a **Color**, and put them in the order you want.

* Every new project and every new quotation gets these phases automatically, without dates. New templates get them too.
* A phase on a project or quotation gets, in the project planning, the colour of the phase with **exactly the same name** here. A phase that is not listed here becomes blue.

| If you change the name of a phase here, also check your templates. Existing projects and quotations keep their phase name and otherwise lose their colour.

## Project planning templates

Create standard plannings for the [Gantt chart](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/how-the-gantt-chart-works-1fqbc01/) of a project here, for example the fixed steps of a complete renovation. Click **Add** and give the template a name. Then choose:

* **Create blank template**: you start from an empty Gantt chart;
* **Choose existing**: you start from the Gantt chart of an existing project.

Via **Edit template** you draw up the Gantt chart of the template. In the Gantt chart of a project you then insert the template from a date you choose. These templates have no impact on the project planning itself.

## Settings

| Setting | Explanation |
| ---- |
| Project statuses | Fill in the statuses of the projects that appear in the project planning. Type the name of a status exactly as in the [project settings](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/projects-settings-18n9clm/#2-statuses) and press Enter. If you leave this empty, all projects appear. |
| Quotation statuses | Fill in the statuses of the quotations that appear in the project planning, in the same way. If you leave this empty, all quotations appear. Only quotations with one of these statuses count towards the financial [forecast](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/how-does-the-forecast-in-the-project-planning-work-dm21q/). |
| Sort by date | Switch this on to sort the projects and quotations in the project planning by their date. If this is switched off, they are sorted by number. |
