# How do I take material from my stock with an internal supply order?

With an **internal supply order** you request material from your own stock, for example to get it ready for a site or to take it to another stock location. There is no supplier: your warehouse delivers. The other types of supply orders are explained in [Supply orders | General](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/supply-orders-general-explanation-1gxeocy/).

## Creating an internal supply order

You create an internal supply order from a template of the Intern type. You can do this in several ways:

* from the overview of your supply orders, via **Add** (+), or from a project via the plus sign next to 'Supply orders' in the **Overview** block
* with [Quick order](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/quick-order-1tmqd0v/), by choosing a template of the Intern type. Everything then ends up on one internal supply order.
* from your [stock reservations](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/stockreservations-q7v0lf/). Robaws then uses the template you choose in the settings at **Default Internal supply order**.
* from a supply order, via the plus sign next to 'Delivery note intern' in the **Overview** block. Robaws takes over what has been received and is not yet on an internal supply order. That way you immediately take what came in to the site.
* in the Wappy app, via **Request material**. See [Wappy | Requesting material](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/wappy-requesting-material-281zse/).

## Filling in the internal supply order

| Field | Explanation |
| ---- |
| Date | The date of the internal supply order. |
| Ready when | By when the material has to be ready. |
| from, to | Where the material comes from and where it has to go. Type the address or use the button next to it to choose a fixed address from the [settings](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/supply-orders-settings-zcmha1/#2-addresses). |
| Move to location, to Location | Switch this on if you move the material to another [stock location](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/creating-a-stock-location-uc9d9b/), and choose the location. |
| Consider completed | Tick this if the rest will never be delivered. |

On the lines you choose the item, the project and, if applicable, the order and the quantity. An item is always in its **stock unit**: the unit on the item file. You cannot change it here, because your stock is kept in that unit. You can read more about units in [Working with unit types](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/working-with-unit-types-1gs3057/). The price is the cost price of the item.

In the **Delivered** column you see what has already been delivered. If you work without stock changes, you fill that in yourself. For this, **Allow manual modification of received (internal order)** has to be switched on in the settings. It is switched on by default.

## Not enough stock yourself?

Is there material on an internal supply order that you do not have (enough of) yourself? Then click the **Quick order** action button, or select lines and choose **Quick order** with the right mouse button. That way you order it from your suppliers. You see that action button as long as the internal supply order is not considered completed.

## In the recalculation

An internal supply order counts in the [recalculation](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/project-recalculation-1sitd2t/) of your project as a realised cost: the material comes from your own stock. Robaws calculates with the quantity or with what has been delivered, according to the **Strategy calculation of internal orders** setting. An internal supply order with **Move to location** does not count.
