# Filtering in your dayplanning

In the [dayplanning](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/dayplanning-general-1ohthp5/) module you schedule your daily jobs in five resource displays: **employee, project, equipment, executionphase and planning resource**. In every display you can use **advanced filters** to limit which resources you get to see.

Combine that with [different tabs](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/working-with-tabs-in-the-overview-screen-1uez0cm/) and you have your own ready-made planning display per tab.

*Example: you want a tab with only the employees from the planning group 'Customers'. In the 'employee' display you then set a filter on planning group. Only those employees still appear in that tab.*

## Setting up a filter

1. Choose the resource display in which you want to filter at the top.
2. In the left-hand column, next to the title of that display, click the action button **Filter**.
3. Set up your advanced filters and save.

## How the filter is saved

Robaws saves the filter **per tab and per resource display**. So you set it up once and it then stays in place.

That also means:

* A filter that you set in the 'employee' display has no effect on the 'project' or 'equipment' display. If you want to limit several displays, then you set up a filter per display.
* A filter in one tab changes nothing in another tab. This way you can work side by side with, for example, a tab per team or per region.
