# Dividing your dayplanning into different groups

Within the [dayplanning](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/dayplanning-general-1ohthp5/) you can determine the display yourself (e.g. display by employee). On the basis of this choice you determine what appears in the left-hand column in your calendar display of the dayplanning.
In this left-hand column you can create groups by using the **'planning group'.**


You find the 'planning group' field in the **employees, equipment, projects** modules. You can also set a planning group on the [planning resources](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/creating-teams-for-use-in-the-dayplanning-uez1su/).
In this field you **manually** fill in a group to which this item belongs.

||| Filling in a planning group is done manually on every item. There is no option to create a combobox. Make sure that the naming is identical.



**Examples:**
* *In the *[employee file](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/employees-general-4h4p3y/)* you divide the employees into different groups (maintenance, installation, administration, etc.)*
* *In the project file you divide projects into different groups (installation, maintenance, time & materials, etc.)*
