# Determining the layout of a document

A **document** in Robaws can be laid out entirely as you wish. You can decide on just about every part yourself.

1. [Background](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/creating-your-background-1d4ug4/): the background used to create the pdf. You can place your logo and company details on it.
2. Heading: Robaws uses a standard heading. With the [dynamic pdf](/en/article/deciding-what-appears-on-your-pdf-e26zjo/), however, you can create a custom heading.
3. Standard introduction - closing text: via [standard texts](/en/article/can-i-create-a-standard-introduction-or-closing-un4zoz/) you can create a standard introduction or closing text that you use on the quotation.
4. Layout styles: you can create various [layout styles](https://support.robaws.com/en/article/creating-different-layout-styles-1l4kold/) that you can link to [line types](/en/article/working-with-line-types-and-chapters-536ga0/) or apply directly on a line of the quotation.
5. [Font](/en/article/choosing-the-font-on-your-documents-bg92xu/): the font used on the pdf.
6. [Markdown](/en/article/using-markdown-2v2y8d/): by using Markdown you can, for example, make a particular part of the text bold or italic yourself.
